(Course ID : MAC-56)

School & Boards Exam - (स्कूल और बोर्ड परीक्षायें) » CBSE - Central Board of Secondary Education » Class 9 » Mathematics (गणित)

CBSE Class 9 Mathematics की मजबूत तैयारी with Geometry, Triangles, Heron’s Formula, Statistics, conceptual learning और exam-focused practice.

CBSE Class 9 Mathematics – Mid Term Part 2 is a structured Mathematics course designed to help Class 9 students develop strong conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. This course is Part 2 of a four-part Class 9 Mathematics series designed to cover the complete Class 9 Mathematics syllabus.
The course focuses on Euclid’s Geometry, Lines and Angles, Triangles, Heron’s Formula and Statistics. Students learn important concepts through clear explanations, solved examples, practice questions, geometric reasoning and examination-oriented preparation.

Topics Covered
1. Introduction to Euclid’s Geometry (यूक्लिड की ज्यामिति का परिचय)
Students are introduced to Euclidean Geometry and its fundamental concepts. The chapter covers Euclid’s definitions, axioms and postulates, along with equivalent versions of Euclid’s Fifth Postulate.

2. Lines and Angles (रेखाएँ और कोण)
Students learn the basic terms and definitions related to lines and angles, intersecting and non-intersecting lines, pairs of angles, parallel lines and transversals. The chapter also covers lines parallel to the same line and the angle sum property of a triangle.

3. Triangles (त्रिभुज)
This chapter develops a systematic understanding of triangles, including congruence of triangles, criteria for congruence, important properties of triangles, additional congruence criteria and inequalities in a triangle.

4. Heron’s Formula (हीरोन का सूत्र)
Students learn Heron’s Formula for calculating the area of a triangle when the lengths of its sides are known. The chapter also covers applications of Heron’s Formula to find the area of quadrilaterals.

5. Statistics (सांख्यिकी)
Students develop fundamental data-handling skills through the collection and presentation of data, graphical representation and measures of central tendency. The chapter helps students understand and interpret mathematical data systematically.

Learning Outcomes, Students can develop:
• Strong conceptual understanding of Class 9 Mathematics
• Better geometric reasoning and visualization skills
• Understanding of Euclid’s Geometry and its basic principles
• Ability to solve Lines and Angles and Triangle problems
• Practical understanding of Heron’s Formula and its applications
• Better data interpretation and statistical reasoning
• Improved mathematical problem-solving skills
• Greater confidence in CBSE school examinations
• A strong foundation for higher-level Mathematics and competitive examinations

Practice and Assessment
The course includes sufficient practice sessions to strengthen conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability.

Students complete:
• One basic objective classroom test
• One subjective test for home practice
• Regular practice questions and exercises
• Concept-based and application-oriented problems
Recommended Reference Book: R.D. Sharma Mathematics for Class 9.

Teachers may also provide additional worksheets, practice problems and revision material according to the academic needs of students.
