CBSE Class 10 Mathematics – Part 3 is a structured Mathematics course designed to develop conceptual clarity, systematic problem-solving skills and strong examination preparation. The course covers important topics from the CBSE Class 10 Mathematics curriculum, including Arithmetic Progressions, Quadratic Equations, Some Applications of Trigonometry, Surface Areas and Volumes, Circles and Constructions.

1. Arithmetic Progressions (समांतर श्रेणियाँ)
Students develop a clear understanding of Arithmetic Progressions, including the general term (nth term) and the sum of the first n terms. The chapter includes application-based, miscellaneous and higher-order problems designed to strengthen mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Selected questions also support the mathematical foundation required for IIT Foundation preparation.

2. Quadratic Equations (द्विघात समीकरण)
Students learn systematic methods for solving quadratic equations, including factorisation and the method of completing the square. The chapter covers the nature of roots, the relationship between roots and coefficients, the sum and product of roots, along with solved examples, application-based questions and higher-order problems.

3. Some Applications of Trigonometry (त्रिकोणमिति के कुछ अनुप्रयोग)
Students learn to apply trigonometric concepts to practical problems involving heights and distances. The chapter covers angles of elevation and depression, standard trigonometric ratios and tables, followed by illustrative examples, application-based questions and miscellaneous problems.

4. Surface Areas and Volumes (पृष्ठीय क्षेत्रफल एवं आयतन)
Students develop a systematic understanding of surface areas and volumes of three-dimensional figures, including cubes, cuboids, cylinders, cones, spheres and hemispheres. The chapter covers lateral and curved surface areas, total surface area, volume, combinations of solids, conversion of one solid into another, frustum of a cone and application-based problems.

5. Circles (वृत्त)
Students study the fundamental properties and terminology of circles and tangents. The chapter covers tangents to a circle, the number of tangents that can be drawn from a point, important theorems and their applications. Students also practise solved examples, miscellaneous problems and examination-oriented questions.

6. Constructions (रचनाएँ)
Students learn standard geometrical construction techniques, including division of a line segment in a given ratio, construction of geometrical figures using prescribed methods and construction of tangents to a circle. The chapter includes step-by-step methods, solved examples, miscellaneous questions and practice exercises.
