CBSE Class 10 Maths Mid Term Part 2 Geometry Trigonometry and Statistics

(Course ID : MAC-53)

School & Boards Exam - (स्कूल और बोर्ड परीक्षायें) » CBSE - Central Board of Secondary Education » Class 10 » Mathematics (गणित)

CBSE Class 10 Maths की मजबूत तैयारी with Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics और Probability, conceptual learning, problem-solving और exam-focused practice.

CBSE Class 10 Mathematics – Part 2 is the second part of a four-part Mathematics series designed to cover the complete Class 10 Mathematics syllabus. The course focuses on Coordinate Geometry, Triangles, Trigonometry, Areas Related to Circles, Statistics and Probability, with an emphasis on conceptual clarity, mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and CBSE examination preparation.
Students learn each topic systematically through concept-based teaching, solved examples, numerical practice, application-based questions and regular revision. The course is designed to strengthen both fundamental understanding and the ability to solve CBSE Class 10 board-level and higher-order Mathematics problems.

Chapters Covered
1. Coordinate Geometry (निर्देशांक ज्यामिति)
Students learn how to use coordinate geometry to solve problems involving points, distances and areas.
Topics include Distance Formula, Section Formula, Area of a Triangle, miscellaneous problems and comprehensive revision.

2. Triangles (त्रिभुज)
This chapter develops a clear understanding of triangles and similarity. Students study different types of triangles, similar figures, similarity of triangles and the criteria for similarity.
The course also covers areas of similar triangles and Pythagoras Theorem, followed by application-based and miscellaneous problems.

3. Introduction to Trigonometry (त्रिकोणमिति का परिचय)
Students build a strong foundation in trigonometry through the study of trigonometric ratios, ratios of specific angles, complementary angles and fundamental trigonometric identities.
The chapter includes numerical and application-based problems to improve accuracy and confidence in using trigonometric concepts.

4. Areas Related to Circles (वृत्तों से संबंधित क्षेत्रफल)
Students revise the perimeter and area of a circle and learn how to calculate the areas of sectors and segments of circles.
The chapter also covers areas of combinations of plane figures and includes application-based and miscellaneous problems.

5. Statistics (सांख्यिकी)
Students learn how to analyse and interpret grouped data using important measures of central tendency.
Topics include mean, mode and median of grouped data, graphical representation of cumulative frequency distributions and application-based statistical problems.

6. Probability (प्रायिकता)
Students are introduced to the theoretical approach to probability and learn how to calculate the probability of simple events through systematic problem-solving.
The chapter includes solved examples, miscellaneous questions and revision practice.
Examination-Focused Preparation
The course places strong emphasis on CBSE Board Examination preparation. Students are encouraged to practise the last 10 years of CBSE Board question papers to understand question patterns, difficulty levels and commonly tested concepts.

The course also includes:
• Basic-level tests
• Advanced-level tests
• Chapter-wise practice
• Previous-year CBSE Board questions
• Application-based and higher-order questions
• Regular revision sessions
• Sufficient problem-solving practice
These activities are designed to improve conceptual understanding, calculation accuracy, speed and examination confidence.

Teaching Modes
The course is available through three learning modes, depending on teacher and batch availability:
Online Live Classes – Interactive online teaching with live guidance and doubt solving.
Offline Classes – Classroom-based learning conducted at the teacher's location.
Home Tuition – Personalised teaching at the student's location. A maximum of 3 students is permitted in a home-tuition group to maintain effective individual attention.

Recommended Study Material
The primary reference book recommended for the course is:
R.D. Sharma – Mathematics for Class 10
Teachers may also provide additional worksheets, practice sets, previous-year papers and revision material according to students' learning requirements.
