CBSE Class 9 Mathematics – Mid Term Part 1 is a structured Mathematics course designed for Class 9 students preparing for CBSE school examinations. The course is the first part of a four-part Class 9 Mathematics series designed to progressively cover the Class 9 Mathematics syllabus.
The course focuses on conceptual clarity, systematic problem-solving, numerical practice and examination-oriented preparation. Students develop a strong foundation in Number Systems, Linear Equations in Two Variables and Coordinate Geometry through concept-based teaching, solved examples and structured practice.

Topics Covered
1. Number Systems (संख्या पद्धति)
Students develop an understanding of irrational numbers and real numbers and learn how real numbers can be represented and operated on systematically.
Topics include Introduction to Number Systems, Irrational Numbers, Real Numbers and their Decimal Expansions, Representation of Real Numbers on the Number Line, Operations on Real Numbers and Laws of Exponents for Real Numbers.

2. Linear Equations in Two Variables (दो चर वाले रैखिक समीकरण)
Students learn the fundamentals of linear equations in two variables and understand how their solutions can be represented graphically.
Topics include Introduction to Linear Equations, Linear Equations in Two Variables, Solutions of Linear Equations, Graphs of Linear Equations in Two Variables and Equations of Lines Parallel to the x-axis and y-axis.

3. Coordinate Geometry (निर्देशांक ज्यामिति)
Students are introduced to the Cartesian coordinate system and learn how to locate and represent points on a plane using their coordinates.
Topics include Introduction to Coordinate Geometry, Cartesian System and Plotting a Point in the Plane when its Coordinates are Given.
Practice and Examination Preparation
The course includes sufficient practice sessions to strengthen conceptual understanding and improve problem-solving speed and accuracy. Students are encouraged to practise relevant previous-year examination questions and use R.D. Sharma Mathematics for Class 9 as a supplementary reference book.

An objective test and structured revision practice can be conducted at the end of the course to assess students' understanding and examination readiness. Teachers may also provide additional worksheets, practice questions and revision material according to students' learning requirements.
